HPGIN project |

The aim of this
European project is to develop the Communication Layer
Software for High Performance I2O optimized for Gigabit LAN
technologies like Gigabit Ethernet, ATM or Fibre Channel.
I2O is the acronym of Intelligent Input/Output.
It is an industrial standard defined and maintained by the I2O
Special Interest Group (SIG).
I2O technology will change the design of I/O subsystems
dramatically within the coming years
HPGIN is the project that develops the I2O technology within
the framework of communications software for Gigabit LAN.
The members of European Consortium, owner of the project, are
Helsinky University, SysKonnect, Eonic System and XPLAB.
